According to the public relations office of the 37th International Film Festival for Children and Youth, the registration and submission period for all films, which require a reviewable version, will be open from July 16 to August 27, 2025. This year’s festival will feature three competitive sections: National, International, and Special Programs.  

In the National Section, feature films, short films, and animations will compete for the Golden Butterfly Award. The International Section is dedicated to foreign feature and short films produced in or after 2024, with the call for submissions distributed by the festival’s International Affairs Department. The Special Programs of the 37th edition include: "12-Day War Children," "Children of Gaza," and the Asian Film Award.  

Applicants must register on the festival’s official portal (www.portal.icff.ir) and submit a copy of their film to the festival secretariat (Film Evaluation and Jury Department). The announced deadlines are strictly enforced, and applicants are strongly advised not to delay their registration and submission until the final days.

Additionally, the rules and schedule for the 8th Iran Youth Filmmaking Olympiad will be announced in a separate call for entries.
