According to the public relations of the Farabi Cinema Foundation, two Iranian films—"The Orange Forest", directed by Arman Khansarian, and the documentary "The Last of the Whale Shark" by Ramtin Balouf—were selected to compete in the festival's main competition section. Additionally, two other Iranian films—"No Prior Appointment", directed by Behrouz Shoeibi, and "In the Arms of the Tree", by Babak Khajeh-Pasha—were featured in the non-competitive section.  

As reported by the International Affairs Department of the Farabi Cinema Foundation, during the closing ceremony of the documentary section, "The Last of the Whale Shark" received the Special Jury Award.
