Mohammad Reza Tashakori Appointed as the Head of the International Affairs and Marketing Development at Farabi Cinema Foundation

In his first appointment, the managing director of Farabi Cinema Foundation, Hamed Jafari, appointed Mohammad Reza Tashakori as “Head of the International Affairs and Foreign Marketing Development.”

According to the Farabi Cinema Foundation’s public relations, Hamed Jafari introduced Mohammad Reza Thaskori as Farabi’s “Deputy Director of International Affairs and Foreign Marketing Development” this morning at the International office of the foundation.

In Jafari`s address to Mohammad Reza Tashakori, his expertise and experiences in the field of cinema, especially the international field, and constructive interaction with the cinema community were mentioned as reasons for his appointment to this position.

In his introduction ceremony for the Head of International Affairs and Foreign Marketing Development at Farabi Cinema Foundation, Hamed Jafari emphasized Tashakori’s previous achievements and recognition of the Farabi Cinema Foundation, and called for further promotion of the international activities of Iranian cinema and a more influential presence of this sector in the world cinema arena.

In addition to colleagues from the Farabi Cinema Foundation’s International Department, Seyyed Mehdi Sajjadi, Treasurer and Executive Board members, and Mostafa Mahmoudi, Public Relations Manager of the Foundation, were also present at the introduction ceremony for Mohammad Reza Tashakori.

Mohammad Reza Thaskori was born in 1975 and graduated in English translation. He began his collaboration with the Farabi Cinema Foundation’s international affairs in 1998 and continued his work as the head of the Foundation’s festivals department until 2010.

His other cultural activities in the international field are as follows:

- From 2001 to 2009, he was the coordinator of international affairs and responsible for the ceremonies of the two Fajr International Film Festivals and the International Children and Youth Film Festival

- Managing the Shahid Avini Cultural and Artistic Institute from 2004 to 2007

- Supervising the international affairs of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Youth from 2009 to 2012

- Managing the international affairs of the film Muhammad (PBUH) directed by Majid Majidi

- International affairs of Noor Taban Cinema Company from 2011 to 2016

- Deputy for International Affairs of the 41st and 42nd Fajr International Film Festival.
