According to the public relations of Farabi Cinema Foundation, four films "Wolf Cubs of Apple Valley " directed by Fereydoun Najafi and produced by Majid Barzegar and Shahram Ebrahimi, "Mehran" directed by Roqiyeh Tawakli and produced by Mohammad Pirhadi, "Hook" directed by Hossein Rigi and produced by Ali Ashtiani Pour and "Sea Boys" directed by Afshin Hashemi and Hossein Ghasemi Jami and produced by Behrouz Neshan are going to India to compete in the 10th edition of Kolkata International Children's Film Festival.
"The Wolf Cubs of Apple Vally" tells the story of Ashu, a teenage boy whose father is accused of murder and is on the run. He thinks that he also lost his mother when he was a child. He discovers some truths during a trip and this creates new stories for him.
"Mehran" is the story of a 12-year-old Yazdi boy named Mehran, whose family hosts a war-torn Kurdish family after the occupation of the city Mehran.
"Sea Boys" has two episodes; one part of the story takes place in the north and another one occurs in the southern part of the country.
The movie "Hook" is about two Baloch athlete brothers who are trying to achieve their ambitious dreams.
It should be noted that the three films "Mehran", "Sea Boys” and "Hook" are among the productions of the Farabi Cinema Foundation, and the international distribution of the movie "Wolf Cubs of Apple Valley” is also under responsibility of the Farabi Cinema Foundation.
The 10th Kolkata International Children's Film Festival will be held in India from January 25th to 29th, 2024.
