According to the public relations of the Farabi Cinema Foundation, the film "No Prior Appointment" directed by Behrouz Shoaibi and produced by Mahmoud Babaei and one of the top productions of the Farabi Cinema Foundation, which is the only representative of Iranian cinema in the feature film competition section of the 19th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival in Russia. At the closing ceremony of this event, this film was able to win two big awards for the best film and the best actress.
Among the guests of the closing ceremony were Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Shekhraziv, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, the Consul General of our country in Kazan, Davoud Mirzakhani, the famous Serbian director Emir Kusturica, and famous filmmakers and directors from different regions of Russia and different countries.
52 films from 21 countries participated in this festival, including four films from Iran: "No Prior Appointment" by Behrouz Shoaibi in the feature film competition, "Witness" by Aida Tebianian in the short film competition, "Isatis" in the feature documentary competition and "Water, Wind, Soil, Bread" by Mehdi Zamanpour Kiasri in the short documentary competition were shown in this event.
"No Prior Appointment" is the production of Farabi Cinema Foundation in partnership with Tasvir-e-Shahr Institute.
The 19th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival of Russia was held from September 5th to 9th.
