According to the Public Relations of FCF He Wenquan, the president of the Shanghai International Film Festival, paid a visit to the pavilion of the National Organization of Iranian Cinema on the first day of the market and held some talks with Raed Faridzadeh, the Head of FCF International Affairs and Alireza Esmailie, General Director of the Directorate of Cinema Organization of Iran.

The primary concentration of their talks was on the expansion of mutual cooperation between Iran and China film festivals, the stronger presence of Iran in the BELT & ROAD project, and the possibility of establishing the film association for the countries that are members of Shanghai group as per the suggestion of Iran. They also expressed hope to have a more powerful presence in the Shanghai Film Festival for presenting new productions of Iranian cinema.

Shanghai Film Festival and the Film market are amongst the most important international film festivals in Asia, a place for acknowledged cinema organizations and famous distributing companies to get together each year.

The Head of FCF International Affairs and the General Director of the Directorate of  Cinema Organization of Iran also had some negotiations with active participating companies in this international market.
