Soleimanzadeh selected as  FIPRESCI jury member at 74th Cannes Film Festival

"Hamed Soleimanzadeh" to serve as FIPRESCI jury member at the 74th Cannes Film Festival. 

According to the PR department of Farabi Cinema Foundation, "Hamed Soleimanzadeh", author, critic and lecturer of International Cinema, was officially invited by Klaus Eder, director of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) to serve as a member of the jury of  the "Director's Fortnight" and the "Critics' Week" sections of the 74th Cannes Film Festival. He will co-judge the two sections alongside internationally known critics Esteve Soler Miralles from Spain and Barbara Lorey de Lacharriere from France. 

It is noteworthy to mention that prominent Iranian figures such as Abbas Kiarostami, Niki Karimi, Katayoun Shahabi, ... have previosuly served as jury members in different sections of this important international cinematic event. Hamed Soleimanzadeh is the first Iranian critic to serve as FIPRESCI jury member in Cannes. 

The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) was established in 1930 and so far it has members from over 55 countries around the world. 

The 74th Cannes Film Festival will be held from July 6th to 17th, 2021 in Cannes, France.
