According to the PR department of Farabi Cinema Foundation, the first digital edition of the European Film Market (EFM) will be held from March 1 to 5, 2021.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, this is the first time that the film market will be held virtually just like several other film events that took place in 2020 such as Marche Du Film, Shanghai, etc...
According to this news, the Iranian Cinema will have a remarkable presence under the supervision of Farabi Cinema Foundation and with the presence of 9 other Iranian film companies and organizations (Documentary and Experimental Film Center, Eli Image, Fajr International Film Festival, 7th Art, AI Film Pro, Art and Experience Iranian Cinema, Irimage, Khaneh Film, Persia Film Distribution).
Every year, the Iranian Cinema takes part in prestigious film events such as EFM with the aim of promoting and distributing Iranian films, communicating and collaborating with important film festivals, finding potential co-production opportunities, expanding international cooperation and so forth.
The first virtual edition of the European Film Market will end on March 5, 2021 and the 71st edition of Berlinale Film Festival will be held physically from June 9 to 20, 2021 in Berlin.
