Synopsis:
The story revolves around the life of Ali, a 12 years old boy and his 3 friends who do handy jobs in a garage and often partake in activities, that may not necessarily be lawful, to make a quick buck. Now they have been entrusted to find a treasure....
Director’s Profile:
Born in Tehran in 1959, Majid Majidi is the first Iranian director who won an Academy Award Nomination for the Best Foreign Language Film with his CHILDREN OF HEAVEN. Majidi worked as an actor at first and then turned to direct some short films. His directorial debut feature, BADUK, was presented at Director’s Fortnight in Cannes 1992, but with his second venture, FATHER, he got his first major prize at San Sebastian International Film Festival. Majidi is triple-times-winner of Grand Prix of Americas at Montreal World Film Festival for CHILDREN OF HEAVEN, THE COLOR OF PARADISE and BARAN. Winning the best actor award, his THE SONG OF SPARROWS was well received in Berlinale 2008.
