An educated girl from a nice middle class family, Bita is invited to Kish Island for the wedding ceremony of one of her former wealthy friends she has not heard from for rather a long time. The invitation is sent by brother of the bride. Bita goes to the wedding, but she can’t believe that the groom is her ex fiancé who had left her apparently without a cause! Born in 1950 in Tehran, Sirous Alvand got involved in cinema, writing film reviews and analytical articles, after finishing high school. His professional career began when he co-wrote the script of THE ANGRY TRYST in 1971. In 1977, he made his debut feature, THE SUNNY NIGHT, but his international breakthrough came with ONCE AND FOR ALL which was screened at Fukuoka and New Delhi film festivals. His POLLUTED HANDS and DISTURBANT were national box-office hits in 2000 and 2002. For SALVATION AT 8:20, Alvand received a special mention from Interfaith Jury in Fajr Film Festival 2005.
