Two youngsters attend a training course in a workshop. To support his family, one of them is obliged to do the petty jobs. Unawarely he becomes involved in a car robbery and gets arrested. The other kid makes up his mind to do everything he can for bringing out his friend from the lock up.
Born in 1961 in Ardabil, Rahbar Ghanbari is a graduate from Islamic Center for Film Studies. He has been active as a film teacher and filmmaker since 1980’s. Writer and director of fifty short and medium-length films and twelve TV movies, Ghanbari is best known for his THE LITTLE BIRD FREAK and GROWING IN THE WIND which were shown and acclaimed in international film festivals. Also a selection committee member in different domestic film festivals, he has won twenty six awards in national and international film festivals – including Cinekid, Cairo, Olympia, Isfahan, Hamedan, Religion Today, etc.

I’m not born in Tehran, but came to the big city when I was so young. My folks live in the southern parts of the city and in the suburbs. For this reason, I have witnessed the ventures and the wrongdoings of the youngsters living in these neighborhoods, since they hope to make their dreams come true, thinking of what the upper class kids have got in their lives. SEASON OF MATURITY comes from my own observations on these youngsters.
