Born in 1957 in Dezful, Ahmad Reza Garshasbi was studying sociology in Texas University in the US, when he decided to quit the university and return to Iran in 1979. Then he graduated in Cinema from Art University in the late eighties. Garshasbi directed his first medium length film, THE TENDENCY, in 1986. He made his debut feature film, THE OBJECTIVE CIRCUMSTANCES, in 1988. Garshasbi is also a board member of Iran’s Film Museum.
