Since its very establishment, Farabi Cinema Foundation has been actively involved in co-production projects with foreign and domestic producers by offering all kinds of support and by sharing its vast knowledge in this field. Currently, launching co-production projects with countries in the region and the world is one of the main goals of this foundation. Mainly because it offers the opportunity of entering into new markets and enables film producers to share their visions and experiences in the field of cinema.

Two very successful and recent projects that have been supported by FCF are the films YEVA and A HELL OF WEDDING.

YEVA is the first co-production project between Iran and Armenia in decades, directed by Iranian-Armenian woman director, Anahid Abad. Interestingly, the film has been introduced as the representative of the Armenian cinema in the Foreign Language Films Category in the upcoming 2018 Oscars. On the other hand, A HELL OF A WEDDING, directed by Reza Khatibi is the first 3D co- production project between Iran and France. The film has been very well-received by international festivals such as Mar del Plata, 3DKorea International Film Festival and so forth.
